CULTURE CLUB
Curated cultural and social gatherings in Singapore.

ABOUT CULTURE CLUB
Culture Club is an independent, culture-led events community in Singapore, spanning film, food, art, music, history, literature, philosophy, politics, science, and occasional absurdity. Inspired by the salons of the Enlightenment, our salon-style gatherings are for the curious, thoughtful, and socially generous.Culture Club was founded by Elsie Wong, who curates and hosts the gatherings. We grew from a cross-school audience of alumni from universities across the UK, US and continental Europe.Attendance is curated rather than automatic. We look for people who fit the spirit of the community and will contribute positively to the particular gathering — not for particular credentials, affiliations, or professional status. You do not need to be an alumnus of any particular university — or an alumnus at all — to attend.You don’t need to be an expert. Most events are designed for a general audience, with enough context to make the topic engaging even if you’re encountering it for the first time.Our events are lightly structured: cerebral, cultured, and mildly unhinged. Depending on the occasion, there may be assigned seating, mixed groups, prompts, games, discussions, or other activities designed to push conversation beyond the usual social script.This is not generic networking drinks, not group therapy, and not a come-and-go-as-you-please affair.The host will tut disapprovingly at any conversation that flies too close to the LinkedIn sun.

HOUSE NORMS
Loosely based on Regency party etiquette, adapted for people with smartphones and fewer chaperones.
Culture Club is a hosted social gathering, not merely a ticketed activity. The aim is to create a room in which interesting people can meet, talk, play, argue, eat, and generally enjoy themselves without requiring the host to perform emergency social engineering.These are therefore our House Norms.
01 — An invitation is not a court summonsAccept only if you genuinely intend to attend.There is no obligation to attend every Culture Club event, nor any offence in declining an invitation. Plans also sometimes change; if you can no longer attend, say so as soon as reasonably possible.What is rude is accepting an invitation or booking a place and then simply failing to appear without notice.A no-show is not a neutral administrative event. A place may have been held for you, numbers planned around you, food ordered for you, a team arranged around you, or another guest turned away because you said you were coming.Signing up and disappearing without prior notice, cancelling at the last minute, treating events as provisional until something better appears, or otherwise behaving as though everyone else’s time is of secondary importance to yours, are terrible manners.The host remembers.
02 — Arrive on time and stay for the whole eventArrive by the stated time and plan to stay for the full event. If the doors close at a stated time, they close.Please do not arrive late, turn up only for the portion that interests you, or leave partway through the programme. Culture Club events are planned as whole gatherings, and timings, meals, teams, seating, reservations, and activities may depend on the expected group being present.Historically, arriving late or leaving a hosted gathering conspicuously early was considered gauche: the former inconvenienced the host and other guests; the latter could suggest that one had come chiefly for the free dinner rather than the company. Though our meals are not complimentary, the underlying principles remain sound.It is simply impossible to run games, performances, meals, teams, reservations, conspiracies, tribunals, revolutions, etc. around a population that regards a carefully planned timetable as merely a suggestion.
03 — Help make the room workA good gathering is collectively produced.Be polite to the host and other guests. Introduce yourself. Speak to someone you do not already know. Include the person standing slightly outside the conversation. Let conversation circulate.Do not corner one person for the entire evening, dominate every discussion, repeatedly interrupt people, turn every subject back to yourself, or behave as though you have purchased exclusive access to specific members of the group.Likewise, couples and pre-existing friendship groups should make some effort not to form an impregnable little fortress.If everyone waits to be entertained, introduced, reassured, and socially chauffeured by the host, the evening becomes remarkably similar to unpaid childcare.
04 — Interesting disagreement is welcome. Bigotry is not.Culture Club brings together people with different backgrounds, disciplines, politics, tastes, beliefs, and opinions.Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, religious bigotry, ableism, and other discriminatory or demeaning treatment are not. This includes slurs, degrading jokes or comments, deliberate misgendering, sexual harassment, intimidation, threats, sustained personal hostility, and attempts to humiliate or target another guest.Do not turn another person into a group discussion about their supposed diagnosis, disability, neurodivergence, mental health, intelligence, social skills, personal deficiencies, or other personal characteristics. Do not speculate, gossip, or conduct amateur diagnoses about them, whether or not they are present.Do not treat another guest’s race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or other personal characteristics as grounds for contempt, harassment, or exclusion.“Just joking,” “just debating,” “just expressing an opinion,” or “just concerned” does not make hostile or discriminatory conduct acceptable.The standard is not universal agreement. It is being able to disagree about genuine ideas without attacking another person’s dignity or belonging in the room.
05 — Respect other guests and their boundariesTreat other guests with consideration and respect their autonomy, privacy, time, attention, and personal boundaries.Do not pressure people to drink, flirt, disclose personal information, continue a conversation they are trying to leave, provide emotional support on demand, or repeatedly reassure you that you are welcome.Meeting someone through Culture Club does not create an entitlement to their friendship, attention, professional help, romantic interest, contact details, or future invitations.Culture Club is also not a prospecting database. Do not use access to the community to indiscriminately recruit for projects, promote unrelated ventures, add people to external groups, or harvest professional contacts.The host did not build this room by the sweat of her brow for you to commandeer it for your own ends.
06 — Dinner is not a networking intervalUntil everyone at the table has finished eating, please leave work talk alone.Culture Club brings together people from interesting professions, institutions, and fields, and professional conversations will naturally happen. There will be plenty of time for them.During the meal, however, talk about literally anything else. Art. History. Family scandals. Terrible films. Whether Napoleon would have been intolerable in a group chat. We are capable of meeting another human being without immediately asking what they do for work.Once everyone has finished eating, capitalism may resume.
07 — Participate in the spirit of the occasionYou do not have to be the loudest person in the room or throw yourself bodily into every activity.But if an event includes a game, discussion, tasting, performance, tour, mystery, feast, or other structured element, please engage with it in reasonable good faith.Culture Club events are designed as whole experiences rather than pick-your-own-adventure formats. Please respect the stated format, seating, programme, and structure rather than attempting to redesign the event around your individual preferences.Sitting conspicuously apart while announcing that the entire premise is beneath you is unlikely to improve anybody’s evening or produce a satisfactory return on your ticket investment.
08 — The guest list belongs to the HouseCulture Club is curated.The host decides whom to invite, approve, prioritise, or invite again according to the needs of the particular gathering and community. Curation decisions are not individually explained, debated, or reconsidered on request.Do not request the guest list or ask for information about another attendee, potential or otherwise.If you have a genuine safety concern about another attendee, potential or otherwise, raise it privately with the host. A safety concern does not create an entitlement to the guest list or anyone else’s personal information.Please do not bring additional guests unannounced, forward private invitations indiscriminately, or assume that because someone attended once they are entitled to attend every event till the end of time.An invitation to one evening is an invitation to one evening.
09 — A clear rule is not an opening bidPlease do not ask for exceptions to stated rules, deadlines, guest policies, programme decisions, or other clearly communicated event arrangements.Seating, teams, groupings, and other logistical decisions made by the host—whether communicated in advance or during the event—are settled. Please do not argue, bargain, repeatedly request changes, or attempt to reorganise them yourself.If information has already been provided, read it rather than asking the host to reproduce or reinterpret it personally. Follow booking instructions. Honour deadlines. Pay what you owe. Provide dietary or accessibility requirements when requested rather than five minutes before dinner.The host is not a concierge, secretary, parent, or customer service officer. Ordinary courtesy includes managing yourself where reasonably possible and not creating needless work for other people.A hosting decision is not an invitation to negotiate. Treating it as one will, however, irritate the host.
10 — Keep the conversation socially appropriateCulture Club is not a venue for graphic sexual content, recreational drug talk or glorification, discussion that promotes or celebrates illegal activity, or other gratuitously explicit, degrading, or disturbing material.Serious subjects may of course arise. Use ordinary judgement about what is appropriate for a mixed social gathering, and do not make other guests captive audiences to material they plainly do not want to hear.Culture Club has no desire to become the subject of an SPF or CNB investigation.
11 — Discretion is expectedPeople may discuss work, relationships, politics, family, scandal, terrible supervisors, questionable life choices, or other personal matters in the course of an evening.Do not assume that something said socially is yours to broadcast elsewhere.This includes screenshots, private event links, guest information, and material shared in closed Culture Club spaces. Do not forward or publish them without permission.Photographs and public posting should likewise be approached with consideration for the people in them.
THE HOUSE STANDARDYou need not become lifelong friends with everybody you meet.The objective is simpler: behave in such a way that other guests are glad you were in the room.Be curious. Be generous in conversation. Have some sense of humour. Know when to advance and when to retreat.Good guests make the party easier, livelier, and more interesting for everyone else.Those unable or unwilling to meet the House Norms should not expect another invitation.In Regency society, poor conduct was often dealt with by a beautifully efficient mechanism: one simply ceased to be invited, received, or accommodated. In more serious cases, one might be escorted out before the evening was over.Culture Club sees no reason to abandon this tradition.
GENERAL EVENT TERMS & CONDITIONS
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all Culture Club events.The relevant event page forms part of these Terms and may contain additional requirements specific to that event, including timing, venue, age restrictions, food or dietary arrangements, dress requirements, participation rules, charitable contributions, or other event-specific conditions.The Culture Club House Norms also form part of the conditions of participation.By registering for, paying for, accepting a place at, participating in, volunteering or helping at, or attending a Culture Club event, you agree to these Terms, the relevant event page, and the Culture Club House Norms.Culture Club is an independent, privately organised community and is not affiliated with or endorsed by UCL or any other university, alumni body, organisation, or institution unless explicitly stated for a particular event.
01 — Registration, approval and admissionRegistration does not guarantee a place.Applicants must provide accurate and complete registration and contact information. Materially false, misleading, incomplete, duplicated, or impersonated registrations may be declined or cancelled and may result in refusal of admission or removal without refund.Applicants are responsible for providing accurate, working contact details and for checking relevant event communications and payment deadlines. The organiser is not responsible for any loss of a place, priority, opportunity, or other consequence resulting from an applicant’s failure to provide correct contact details or to read or respond to relevant communications.Places are confirmed at the organiser’s discretion, taking into account factors including capacity, event fit, group mix, and complete registration information.For events using approval-based payment through Luma, registration may place a temporary authorisation hold on the applicant’s card. This does not constitute payment or confirmation of a place. If the registration is approved, Luma will attempt to charge the relevant ticket price. A place is confirmed only once the payment has been successfully processed and confirmation has been issued. If payment cannot be processed, the applicant’s place is not confirmed.Every attendee must register individually and receive approval. Registration, approval, or payment by one person does not include, reserve, or guarantee admission for any partner, child, friend, +1, or other linked attendee.Naming another person during registration does not reserve a place for that person or guarantee that linked attendees will both be approved, admitted, or seated together.Unregistered, unconfirmed or unapproved persons will be refused admission.The approval, non-approval, cancellation, lateness, or absence of a linked attendee or +1 does not entitle another attendee to a refund, transfer, credit, substitution, or other exception.Requests for last-minute additional attendees, substitutions, +1s, or other exceptions will not receive a response.02 — Helpers, volunteers and other event rolesAnyone attending in an event-related role—including as a helper, volunteer, facilitator, photographer, game participant, team representative, or assistant—remains an attendee and is subject to these Terms, the House Norms, and applicable event rules. The role does not create privileged status or exempt that person from attendee obligations or consequences.If a person fails to perform an agreed event role or breaches those requirements, the organiser may remove or replace them in that role. Payment, if any, does not create an entitlement to retain the role or to receive a refund if removed or replaced.
03 — Payments, cancellations, refunds and transfersAll payments are final and non-refundable.Please register only if you are prepared to bear the ticket cost if your registration is approved even if your circumstances or plans subsequently change.An attendee’s inability or decision not to attend does not entitle them to a refund, credit, rollover, reimbursement, transfer, substitution, resale, partial repayment, or replacement place.This includes, without limitation:
- illness;
- personal or family emergencies;
- travel or transport disruption;
- work or study commitments;
- schedule changes;
- changes of mind;
- another attendee becoming unavailable;
- late arrival;
- early departure;
- failure to satisfy event or venue requirements;
- failure to read event information;
- dissatisfaction with the event; or
- voluntary withdrawal.Ticket transfers, substitutions, and resale are not permitted.Refusal of admission or removal resulting from an attendee’s own breach of these Terms, the House Norms, applicable event rules, venue rules, or reasonable organiser instructions does not entitle that attendee to a refund, credit, transfer, substitution, replacement place, reinstatement, or other compensation.Refund and exception requestsCulture Club does not operate a discretionary refund, transfer, credit, or cancellation-review process. Requests for refunds, transfers, credits, substitutions, or other exceptions contrary to this policy will not receive an individual response.The organiser is not required to investigate or verify personal circumstances, assess their seriousness, negotiate an exception, restate or justify the policy, reconsider the matter, or respond to repeated or substantially identical requests sent through another channel. Repeated messages do not create a new entitlement.Cancelling attendanceA refund or exception enquiry does not, by itself, cancel an attendee’s booking.If an attendee definitely wishes to cancel, they must clearly state that they are cancelling or relinquishing their place.Once an explicit cancellation has been received, the organiser may release the place immediately without seeking further confirmation.Once the cancellation has been processed or the place released, the cancellation is final. The attendee is not entitled to reinstatement, a replacement place, refund, credit, transfer, substitution, or other compensation.Genuine payment or legal issuesNothing in this section prevents an attendee from raising a genuine duplicate or incorrect charge, payment-processing error, legal entitlement, or another materially different issue not already addressed by the published policy.No request, informal discussion, explanation of personal circumstances, previous exception, or attempted negotiation varies this section.
04 — Changes, postponement and cancellation by Culture ClubThe organiser may reasonably adjust an event’s timing, venue, seating, programme, format, activities, menu, or other logistics where circumstances require.Where an event cannot proceed substantially as planned, the organiser may cancel, postpone, reschedule, provide event credit, provide a full or partial refund, or determine that no refund or credit is available, as appropriate in the circumstances.In determining whether any refund or credit is available, and its amount, the organiser may take into account non-recoverable venue, food, ticketing, platform, material, or other third-party costs already incurred or committed.The organiser is not responsible for attendees’ travel, accommodation, lost time, or other consequential expenses resulting from a change, postponement, or cancellation.
05 — Attendance, timing and departureWhere an event has a stated arrival, check-in, doors-close, departure, or programme time, attendees must comply with it.Late arrivals may be refused admission or admitted without individual check-in assistance, re-briefing, seating changes, team reallocation, food-service assistance, gameplay accommodation, voting eligibility, or other arrangements that would disrupt the event.Late arrival, missed participation, early departure, or refusal of admission resulting from failure to comply with stated timing requirements does not entitle the attendee to a refund, credit, transfer, substitution, or other exception.Attendees must attend the event for which they registered from the stated start time to the stated end time, not only for the parts they want to attend.Where an attendee can no longer attend, they must communicate this promptly. Cancellations are handled under Section 3.Repeated no-shows, failures to communicate, or attendance patterns that materially disrupt event planning will affect admission, eligibility, or priority for future Culture Club events.
06 — Reading event information and communicationsAttendees are responsible for reading:
- the event page;
- these Terms;
- the Culture Club House Norms; and
- relevant event communications sent through Luma, email, or another stated communication channel.The organiser is not required to resend, restate, summarise, or individually explain information that has already been provided, and questions concerning clearly stated information or policies will not receive an individual response.Repeated failure to read or follow event information may result in cancellation of attendance, refusal of admission, removal from Culture Club communication channels, or reduced priority for future events.This section does not prevent attendees from contacting the organiser in good faith about a genuine access, medical, safety, dietary, payment, or other material issue that has not already been addressed in the available information.
07 — Conduct and House NormsAttendees must comply with the Culture Club House Norms.Attendees must behave respectfully, inclusively, considerately, safely, and in good faith towards the organiser, other attendees, venue staff, and relevant third parties.Disruptive, disrespectful, harassing, discriminatory, threatening, intimidating, unsafe, persistently hostile or aggressive, inappropriate, bad-faith, or seriously entitled behaviour may result in:
- refusal of admission;
- restrictions on participation;
- removal from the event;
- reduced or withdrawn priority for future events;
- refusal of future registrations;
- removal from Culture Club private channels or mailing lists; or
- a report to relevant authorities, where appropriate.The examples of unacceptable conduct in these Terms and the House Norms are not exhaustive. The organiser may take appropriate action in response to other conduct that materially undermines the safety, functioning, atmosphere, or spirit of the event or community.The organiser retains final discretion over admission, seating, participation, event administration, and conduct-related decisions.The organiser is not required to issue repeated warnings before taking action.
08 — Venue rules, staff instructions and organiser directionsAttendees must comply with applicable venue rules, staff instructions, safety requirements, and reasonable directions from the organiser.The organiser is not responsible for venue decisions, service limitations, access restrictions, menu changes, seating constraints, closures, staff decisions, or other matters outside the organiser’s reasonable control.Failure to comply with venue rules, staff instructions, or reasonable organiser directions may result in refusal of admission or removal.09 — Alcohol, drugs and intoxicationAttendees must not attend or remain at an event while intoxicated or under the influence of alcohol, drugs, medication, or another substance to an extent that materially affects their behaviour, judgement, safety, or ability to participate appropriately.The organiser may refuse admission or require an attendee to leave where the attendee’s condition or behaviour creates material discomfort, disruption, or risk for themselves or others.10 — Solicitation, recruitment, promotion and attendee accessCulture Club events and community access must not be used for:
- contact-harvesting;
- professional recruitment;
- sales or marketing;
- fundraising;
- surveying;
- promotion of unrelated groups, businesses, organisations, causes, initiatives, or events;
- recruitment into external communities; or
- indiscriminate collection of professional or personal contacts.Attendees must not add other attendees to WhatsApp, Telegram, mailing lists, external groups, or other communication channels without their explicit consent.Normal one-to-one follow-up arising naturally from genuine social interaction is permitted.11 — Privacy, discretion and attendee informationAttendees must not request, seek access to, or ask the organiser to disclose the guest list or other attendee information.If there is a genuine safety concern involving another attendee, potential or otherwise, raise it privately with the organiser through the official Culture Club email. A safety concern does not create an entitlement to the guest list or another attendee’s personal information.Attendees must not record private conversations without the consent of the people involved.Attendees must not, without appropriate permission:
- circulate private Culture Club communications;
- circulate screenshots from private groups or conversations;
- share private event links;
- disclose attendee information;
- redistribute private attendee lists; or
- forward material shared in closed Culture Club spaces.Information obtained through Culture Club must not be used to harass, intimidate, impersonate, threaten, maliciously target, or deliberately cause reputational harm to another attendee or the organiser.Attendees must exercise reasonable consideration before photographing, filming, identifying, tagging, or publicly posting about other attendees.
12. Health and infectious illnessAttendees must not attend where they have symptoms of a potentially infectious illness or reasonable grounds to believe that their attendance may create a material infection risk to others.The organiser may refuse admission or require an attendee to leave where reasonably necessary to protect the health or safety of the group. This is not grounds for a refund or compensation.13 — Age, classification and venue requirementsWhere age, classification, identification, membership, accessibility, dress, or other venue-specific requirements apply, attendees are responsible for ensuring that they satisfy them before registering or paying.Children and minors are not allowed to attend unless the relevant event page expressly permits them.Failure to satisfy an applicable requirement may result in refusal of admission and does not create an entitlement to a refund.14 — Food, drink and dietary requirementsWhere an event includes food or drink, menu items, dishes, flavours, ingredients, drinks, and availability may change without prior notice.Attendees are responsible for deciding whether food and drink offered are suitable for them and for providing requested dietary information accurately and within any stated deadline.Attendees with severe allergies or dietary requirements that require special precautions must notify the organiser before payment.Where food is prepared or handled by a venue or third party, Culture Club cannot guarantee allergen-free preparation or the absence of cross-contamination.Where an attendee’s requirements cannot safely or reasonably be accommodated, they must not register or pay unless an alternative arrangement has expressly been agreed.The organiser is not responsible for the consequences of an attendee’s undisclosed dietary requirements or individual decision to consume food or drink that may not be suitable for them.
15 — Games, role-play and structured activitiesWhere an event includes games, competitions, role-play, voting, team activities, challenges, mysteries, or other structured participation, attendees must comply with the relevant event rules and reasonable organiser instructions.Fictional or in-game promises, alliances, titles, bribes, threats, marriages, concessions, betrayals, declarations, negotiations, and similar statements create no real-world obligation.Attendees must not:
- use unwanted physical contact;
- physically interfere with another participant;
- tamper with another person’s food or drink;
- interfere with another person’s belongings or device;
- engage in conduct creating material risk or discomfort.Restrictions concerning phones, generative AI, external assistance, messaging, prepared materials, or other tools may be stated in the event rules where applicable.16 — Clothing, costumes and propsWhere an event involves costumes, props, dress requirements, or relevant venue restrictions, attendees are responsible for ensuring that their clothing, footwear, accessories, and props are safe, lawful, venue-appropriate, and do not obstruct movement, damage property, or create unreasonable risk or discomfort.Weapons, realistic weapon props, hazardous items, offensive materials, and items likely to materially disrupt the venue or event are prohibited unless expressly authorised in advance.17 — Seating, teams and participant allocationSeating, teams, groups, tables, roles, pairings, and other participant allocations are determined by the organiser and form part of the event format. Attendees must accept the allocation assigned to them. Do not request reassignment, negotiate an allocation, refuse an assigned place, or independently swap allocations.Registration with, attendance alongside, friendship with, or a relationship with another attendee does not create an entitlement to be allocated together. Dissatisfaction with an allocation does not entitle an attendee to a refund, credit, transfer, substitution, or other exception.Preferences will only be considered where the relevant event page specifically states that attendees may submit them. Any such preferences are requests only and cannot be guaranteed.Repeated attempts to negotiate an allocation after a clear decision, refusal to accept an assigned place, or hostile, aggressive, disruptive, or disrespectful behaviour concerning seating or participant allocation may result in restriction of participation or removal from the event. This is not grounds for a refund.
18 — Personal responsibility, safety and damageAttendees are responsible for taking reasonable care of their own health, safety, conduct, and property.Attendees must avoid conduct which may create unreasonable risk to themselves, other attendees, venue staff, third parties, or property.The organiser is not responsible for injury, loss, damage, or expense arising from an attendee’s own carelessness, negligence, unsafe behaviour, failure to follow reasonable instructions, personal medical circumstances, or voluntary participation in event activities.Attendees are financially responsible for damage, loss, breakage, cleaning costs, repair costs, replacement costs, venue charges, or third-party claims caused by their own conduct, negligence, or misuse of property, equipment, materials, food, drink, or facilities.19 — Personal belongingsAttendees remain responsible for their own belongings.The organiser is not responsible for lost, stolen, misplaced, damaged, or unattended personal items.Any lost property found may be handed to the venue or otherwise dealt with reasonably, but the organiser does not undertake responsibility for storage, safekeeping, delivery, replacement, or return.20 — Photography and videographyAttendees acknowledge that they may appear in general event, background, or crowd images.Attendees who do not wish to appear in posed or close-up photographs must inform the organiser before the event and, where appropriate, again at check-in.Reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate such requests, although complete exclusion from incidental background or crowd images may not always be practicable.Attendees taking their own photographs or recordings remain responsible for respecting the privacy and reasonable wishes of other attendees.
21 — Culture Club materials and intellectual propertyCulture Club event materials, prompts, game rules, written content, designs, formats, graphics, concepts, and other original materials are provided for personal participation in the relevant event.Attendees must not copy, reproduce, adapt, publish, distribute, commercialise, or use Culture Club materials to run another event, group, business, or initiative without the organiser’s prior written consent.22 — Charitable componentsWhere an event includes a charitable donation component, the event page will state the applicable amount or proportion. The organiser will make reasonable efforts to donate that amount or proportion to the identified beneficiary after the event.If donation to the named beneficiary becomes impracticable, unavailable, or inappropriate, the organiser may direct the amount to a substantially similar charitable purpose.The donation component is not separately refundable.23 — Personal dataPersonal information collected in connection with registration or attendance may be used for purposes reasonably connected with Culture Club administration, including:
- registration and selection;
- attendee communications;
- audience development/event promotion;
- payment administration;
- safety and logistics;
- event planning;
- dispute handling;
- records of attendance;
- enforcement of these Terms and the House Norms; and
- determining eligibility or priority for future Culture Club events.Information may be provided to venues, registration platforms, payment providers, or other service providers where reasonably necessary to administer an event, or where disclosure is required by law.Personal information will otherwise not be provided to unrelated organisations for their own purposes without an appropriate basis.Personal data will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it is required or for applicable legal, administrative, dispute-handling, safety, and record-keeping purposes.Attendees may contact the organiser regarding access to or correction of their personal data or withdrawal from optional marketing communications.Withdrawal from optional communications does not require Culture Club to delete information that remains reasonably necessary for event administration, safety, dispute handling, enforcement, attendance records, or eligibility records.
24 — Official communicationsCulture Club administrative matters must only be sent through the official Culture Club email as stated on the relevant event page.Routine administrative enquiries sent to the organiser’s personal WhatsApp, social media accounts, or other private channels will not be read, answered, or treated as formal notice.Attempts to bypass the official contact route by repeatedly sending the same routine administrative enquiry through the organiser’s personal accounts or other channels do not create an obligation to respond.25 — Relationship between these Terms, the House Norms and the event pageThese Terms govern the general operational conditions of participation in Culture Club events.The Culture Club House Norms describe the standards of social conduct expected within the community and form part of the conditions of participation.The relevant event page may contain additional event-specific requirements. Those requirements supplement these Terms and do not override them.A request, conversation, informal message, expectation, assumption, attempted negotiation, or previous exception does not amend these Terms.Any variation must be expressly agreed by the organiser in writing.An exception granted on one occasion does not create a precedent or entitlement to the same exception on another occasion.26 — SeverabilityIf any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will apply only to the extent permitted by law and, where possible, will be treated separately from the remaining provisions.The remaining provisions will continue to apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.27 — Statutory rightsNothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, waives, or limits any statutory right, consumer protection, liability, remedy, or legal obligation that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, waived, or limited.
